Zooplus, Europe’s leading online platform for pet supplies, has announced the appointment of Jonas Schultheiss as chief marketing officer and member of the Zooplus executive committee.

Schultheiss will be responsible at Zooplus in future for the spheres of digital marketing, marketing data, brand, content creation, design, offline marketing and CRM. He has a degree in psychology from Durham University and brings experience in building and managing high-performance teams in the digital direct-to-consumer field.

He previously held prominent marketing positions at online food supply platform Delivery Hero in Berlin before switching to food subscription company Marley Spoon in 2014. During his nine-year stint there, Schultheiss was responsible for establishing the marketing department and supporting the company’s development. In 2017, he was appointed chief marketing officer, later assuming the additional role of chief product officer.
