Peruvian capital Lima, home to around nine million people, is the location of the latest brand store of German accessories manufacturer Hunter and the first in Latin America. The new store, which opened on 20 May, is in one of the city’s best quarters. It has a retail area of 70 m² and is run by Alfredo Polo, a long-standing partner of Hunter.

“The brand store is not likely to be the only one in Latin America, where the pet supplies market is growing fast,” states Hunter. The Peruvian Chamber of Commerce in Lima estimates the number of households with at least one pet at roughly four million. In the last year, the pet sector has grown by around nine per cent. Demand is also growing for high-quality pet accessories.

Hunter’s declared aim is to open further stores in Latin America and to establish itself as the number one supplier of pet requisites there.
