Mera acquires Fresco Dog Foods

German pet food manufacturer Mera Tiernahrung has acquired Fresco Dog Foods. It has also taken over the business branch Fresco Shop & Franchise, which operates a number of retail outlets. No further details of the acquisition were disclosed.
Fresco Dog Foods has recently been in turmoil. It withdrew the business from the USA and had to submit a provisional application for self-administration in December. Fresco company founder Reiner Hauf actually intended to focus subsequently on what he said was a growing business in Germany.
