Italian pet care retail chain Arcaplanet has acquired Animal Store, a specialist retailer with deep regional roots in Calabria, adding 12 stores to its national network, Arcaplanet reported on LinkedIn. The acquired business is distinguished by its long-standing presence and high level of specialisation in the sector.
The deal brings Arcaplanet's total store count to over 600 locations and absorbs all 23 Animal Store employees. The acquired outlets are spread across Reggio Calabria, Crotone, Cosenza, Gioia Tauro, San Marco Argentano, and Cinquefrondi — extending the company's footprint in southern Italy, a region the company has identified as a strategic growth area.
