Cranswick acquires Grove Pet Foods

Cranswick, a leading food producer and supplier of high-quality fresh foods, has acquired the dog food manufacturer Grove Pet Foods. Grove Pet Foods makes dry dog food under a variety of labels as well as under its own brands Vitalin and Alpha Feeds.
For Cranswick, this takeover signifies an entry into the UK pet food market. According to press reports, the managing director of Grove Pet Foods, John Walgate, will stay at the company and continue to run the business.
