The Maxspect Recurve LED lighting system is an exciting new light with some novel features for a reef aquarium light, not least of which is a pair of side-mounted LED wings called "Variable Geometry Flaps", which can angle inwards to adjust both intensity and spread. The Maxspect Recurve LED lighting system is the future of aquatic design and at its core is an infrastructure that has gone through a complete overhaul with the latest and greatest LEDs, coupled with Maxspect's best new Nano-Blend diffuser-reflectors. This nucleus of high-power LEDs accounts for the lion's share of the 'nutritious' high PAR light intensity, but it's what's on the outside that makes the Recurve unlike any other system. Two side-mounted LED strips have four channels of LED colour control, with individual adjustment possible, along with the "haze-rendering" technology which makes the light very similar to that generated by T5HO tubes. The real trick is the Recurve's ability to angle these LED wings inwards to concentrate the light on your reef animals, to get it off the glass, or just to light up your corals from a more front-facing light source. The Recurve has a built-in edge-mounted controller, which allows reefers to easily program the photoperiod and setting up fixtures into group directly from the fixture, but it's also been upgraded to a fully wireless version, which can be connected to the Maxspect ICV6 and controlled by the Syna-G app (available for iOS and Android).
