High numbers in Baltimore

H.H. Backer’s 22nd Annual Pet Industry Spring Trade Show, held in Baltimore on 23-25 April, drew close to 4 900 registered buyers from 1 537 firms. According to the trade show director, a total of 224 exhibitors displayed products in 406 booths. 57 exhibitors displayed at the Backer show for the first time. New to the show this year was the New Exhibitor Area, where first-time Backer Spring Show exhibitors displayed. Returning to the show was the All-Natural area, featuring companies with natural or “green” products representing nearly every segment of the pet industry. The show also featured a variety of free educational seminars to help retailers and distributors learn more about marketing and animal care. H.H. Backer Associates’ next show is the 44th Annual Pet Industry Christmas Trade Show on 8-10 October in Rosemont.
