UK garden centre chain Wyevale increased its sales by 1.3 per cent

Wyevale, the number one in the UK garden market, increased its sales by 1.3 per cent to 192.5 mio £ (276.7 mio €) in 2004. Growth of 0.3 per cent was achieved in like-for-like sales. The company’s pre-tax profits were 15.1 mio £ (21.7 mio €), equivalent to a decline of 26.3 per cent compared with the previous year. Following the acquisition of one store in April 2004, Wyevale had 123 stores operating in the UK at the year end.
