Since its foundation in 1949, the traditional company has been producing exclusively at its company site in Kevelaer in the Lower Rhine region. When selecting ingredients, mera also takes care to source its high-quality raw materials for dog and cat food from regional manufacturers wherever possible. In some cases, the ingredients even come from farmers in the immediate vicinity. In this way, the company avoids long transport routes and minimises its carbon footprint. The result is nutrient-rich food that will accompany dogs and cats throughout their lives. Pets in over 40 countries are already enjoying the tried-and-tested mera recipes. Mera‘s production facility in Kevelaer is one of the most modern in Europe – every year, more than 70 000 tons of food are shipped from here to the world.
