PET worldwide seeks the Newcomer of the Year

In the age of the internet and social media, it is not difficult to start a business and make it known to the public. Nevertheless, it is still a long and rocky road from the market launch of a product to its market success. Many good ideas that could advance our pet industry have failed because too few people in the market have heard about them, because they lacked targeted attention and contacts, or because no suitable distribution partners could be found.

The trade journal PET worldwide sees it as an important task to support new companies with innovative business ideas and help them gain more visibility. After all, many young companies are trying to revolutionise the market and increase the appeal of the pet industry with their fresh ideas. And when could these impulses be more valuable than in economically difficult times? That is why the magazine, which launched the International Pet Conference, is also presenting this award – the PET worldwide Best Newcomer Award – for new companies in the pet industry.

Part of the International Pet Conference’s programme of presentations includes presentations by five newcomers. The companies nominated for Copenhagen are selected by the editorial team of the trade magazine PET worldwide. Each of the five nominated companies will present themselves and their products at the conference in a live pitch lasting around five minutes. The winner, who will be determined by an online vote by PET worldwide readers and participants at the International Pet Conference, will then receive the PET worldwide Best Newcomer Award on the first day of the conference. The votes of the readers and conference participants each account for 50 per cent of the total votes.
