Interzoo 2024, which will take place from 7 to 10 May in Nuremberg, will be bigger and more international than ever. Well over 2 000 companies from around 70 countries will be exhibiting in 14 exhibition halls on more than 140 000 m2 of gross exhibition space at the undisputed world-leading trade fair for the pet supplies industry.

Such record figures would have been unthinkable just a year ago. Although the excellent result achieved by Zoomark International 2023 in Bologna gave rise to cautious optimism, it was uncertain whether the trade fair fatigue often invoked before the Covid pandemic would not affect industry players again in post-Covid times. The fear seems to have been unfounded. In economically turbulent times, it is more important than ever that the pet industry comes together and networks even more closely than before. It is also important for the trade and industry to gain a detailed overview of the rapidly changing market trends right now in order to set the right course for the future. Where better to do this than at Interzoo! In 2022, the world’s leading pet trade fair still triggered conflicting feelings. On the one hand, everyone involved was happy to be able to meet in person again after a long period of lockdown and other contact restrictions. On the other hand, two years ago it was also strange that there were hardly any Asian exhibitors and significantly fewer American exhibitors in Nuremberg than in the past due to travel restrictions caused by the pandemic.

And now? 60 per cent more space applications have been registered from the USA than in 2022. The space booked by South Korean companies has almost doubled. And the exhibitor space that Chinese pet companies have booked in Nuremberg this year has even increased fifteen-fold compared with two years ago.

Now it will be interesting to see how many trade visitors will come to Nuremberg. The organiser is expecting a significant increase in visitors from abroad. It is to be hoped that many German pet companies will also visit the world’s leading trade fair, which is virtually on their doorstep. Dähne Verlag, with its pet and PET worldwide trade magazines, will once again be represented at Interzoo with its own stand. You can meet us in Hall 1, stand 113! We look forward to your visit!
