Tetra EX-Filter Plus external filters in three sizes provide clear, healthy aquarium water. They come as a complete set that is easy and reliable to use, and consume little energy. The filters clean the water chemically, mechanically and biologically, with the latter process aided in particular by the new Tetra BalanceBalls. These consist of water-insoluble polymers, which serve as food for the denitrifying filter bacteria. Nitrates are thus effectively removed, specifically promoting denitrification in the aquarium. Our R&D department has developed the AIR uni-module, which incorporates the touch sensor, HPLEDs and electronics in a totally sealed single glass module.
