New wet range

Pet Food UK Ltd showcased its new products at the Interzoo fair in Nuremberg. The company's new wet range of complete foods for dogs and cats was introduced to the market. The wet products have the same names as their dry counterparts, such as Bad Hair Day and Tender Loving Care, and are made in Britain using only British meats free of artificial additives or preservatives. Provenance is key in all the recipes, states the company. Pet Food UK Ltd also previewed AATU - the first single protein 80/20 diet to include freshly prepared, preservative-free meat, which will be launched in September. AATU is a bespoke and unique 80/20 diet that can benefit dogs suited to a higher meat diet enriched with fruits, herbs and botanicals. AATU is so highly concentrated that two kg of ingredients are used to make one kg of finished product. It is free of grain, white potato and gluten. AATU is handcrafted in small batch recipes, naturally made without artificial colours, preservatives, flavours or GM ingredients, says Pet Food UK. AATU is also the first product from Pet Food UK to include its unique 'Super 8' a bespoke combination of eight vegetables, eight fruits, eight herbs and eight botanicals and spices. www.barkingheads.co.uk

Intelligent doors for pets

The company Petsafe has enhanced its range and introduced the new Passport Intelligent Cat Flap and the larger Passport Intelligent Dog Door. With advanced exit and entry technology, both doors have been developed to ensure peace of mind for pet owners. Using Radio Frequency Identification technology, the doors recognise individual pets and allow access to up to 20 programmed cats or dogs. Cats with an implanted FDX-B microchip using the Passport Intelligent Cat Flap can have their microchip programmed so that no collar is needed for entry. When pets aren't microchipped - either cats or small dogs up to eleven kg in weight - entry is gained by wearing the Passport Key on their collar. The Passport Intelligent Dog Door for dogs up to 23 kilos works by recognising the Passport Key, which is worn on the dog's collar and communicates with the door. Additional door features include flexible programming, pet tracking and a multipoint locking flap system. www.intl.petsafe.net/international
