The Kortrijk Xpo exhibition centre will welcome the pet sector on 16 and 17 February next year. This is when the 18th edition of Anido takes place, showing that the fair has become established as a permanent institution in the sector over the course of the years. In particular, many visitors and exhibitors value the perfect organisation and friendly atmosphere of the show, which does not have the same hectic pace as the big pet product shows. Anido takes place every two years, in the same year as Interzoo. Breakfast for all In spite of the troubled economic situation, Anido increased its stand area last year by 4.8 per cent compared with 2010. 110 exhibitors came to Kortrijk in 2012, and the fair company is aiming to reach and perhaps even surpass that figure next year. The exhibitors and visitors will be pampered with a free breakfast and tasty snacks on both show days for the first time. This additional service should help to create a congenial atmosphere among the visitors and provide an additional stimulus for networking. Trimming demonstrations Trimming demonstrations have attracted great interest in previous years and will feature again next year. Kitty Dekeersgieter, the international trimming champion, will again be giving demonstrations presenting the latest trends, the correct cut for various breeds and even the latest colours for dogs. The popular Anido Awards in the categories of food and accessories & pet care will once again be presented at the evening function following the first day of the show. The New@Anido stand is a good starting point for a visit to the event, since it will give the visitors a clear overview of the latest new products on the market. A new addition this year will be the pavilion for dealers in live animals. They will be presenting their businesses at small, uniform stands where visitors can collect information and contact details for the purchase of live animals. Download: Fair with a heart (PDF file)
