In the last six years, the IIPTF has developed into an international event in South Asia, attracting an increasing number of foreign visi-tors from all over the world. Hosted by Creature Companion, a leading pet care magazine in India, the trade fair is gearing up to throw its doors open to exhibitors and visitors for the seventh time from 17 to 19 January in Pune, Maharashtra. The IIPTF regards itself as a holistic fair for one and all associated with pets in any way possible. The organisers strive to create an event that is of interest to both trade visitors as well as consumers. Aside from the needs of companion animals, hobbyists will have plenty to cheer about. Many events in the pipeline There will be an attractive display of aquariums, fish accessories and exotic birds. Furthermore, a new segment of equestrian products is being introduced. The events in the pipeline for 2014 will range from a pet counselling section to foreign investors, all under one roof. The IIPTF aims to be an exhibition-cum-trade show dedicated to the complete pet spectrum in India and will be a quality-driven event, in line with international standards. The fair will showcase an exhaustive range of pet products and pet-related services from across India and overseas. The IIPTF wants to be the ideal platform for international exhibitors who want to sell their products in India, Indian exporters seeking international buyers and Indian manufacturers and importers wishing to sell products in the domestic market. Product categories include products for dogs, cats, small animals, fish, horses, and birds. The IIPTF will host “buyer-seller meets” to encourage overseas and Indian companies to meet and discuss common areas of business. The show will provide the ideal platform of more than fifty Indian exporters plus a number of importers and distributors operating across India. For international clients, the IIPTF will work as a guide towards meeting potential business partners. International trade visitors seeking potential buyers in India can meet prospective clients and forge business relations, according to the organisers. Similarly, Indian exporters looking for foreign buyers can network with international businessmen.
