Since January 2011, Holland Diervoeders (previously DKSH) has belonged to the Belgian organisation Groupe Depré. This family combine of firms specialises in the production of topgrade animal feed for working and sports animals as well as domestic pets (including Beduco and Fides Petfood). Group Depré generates a total turnover of about 330 mio. € and employs a workforce of 280 people. Delivery to over 40 countries Based in Dordrecht, Holland Diervoeders parted company in March with its wholesale business, which was acquired by Dutch company Mol Diervoeding. Holland Diervoeders has since been concentrating on the pro­duction and sale of its own pro­ducts for companion birds and small mammals and on the distribution of the super-­premium pet food brands „Iams“ and „Euka­nuba“ in the Netherlands, which it has been engaged in for over 20 years. Holland Diervoeders’ factory in Dordrecht has state-of-the-art production and storage facilities for processing and cleaning the ingredients, and for producing a variety of animal feed. The company attaches great importance to developing and modernising its facilities on an ongoing basis in order to respond quickly and flexibly to the changing specific wi­shes and requirements of its clients. One example is its quality assurance system, which supports a high-pressure vermin control method. The company’s factory is able to produce 100 000 tons a year of end products. Its own brands, which include “Teurlings”, “Puik” and “Voskes”, are distributed worldwide to over 40 countries. South America and Asia are important export regions for the company along with Europe. The main export destinations continue to be the neighbouring states of Germany, Belgium and France, however. To take care of its customers, Holland Diervoeders has its own field service team comprising five sales representatives in the Netherlands and two staff handling exports. Simplifying the range One important goal of Holland Diervoeders for the future, accord­ing to managing director Freek Klijnsma, is to simplify the existing product assortment. The company intends to concentrate on the four main brands “Teurlings”, “Puik”, “Voskes” and “Nature and Science”. It aims to target the speciality trade with its products in the first instance, but also garden centres and DIY stores.
