Occupying a gross exhibition area of over 90 000 m2, the world-leading fair thus offers the pet sector a comprehensive overview of the global market. 79 per cent of the exhibitors are from abroad. The biggest floor areas are taken up by Germany, China, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, the USA, France, Belgium, Spain and Poland. The organiser of the trade show, the Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe (WZF), has said that the growth is attributable primarily to Europe and America. In particular, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the USA and Hong Kong have increased their exhibition areas. Newcomers to the show this year are Estonia, Latvia, Malta, Romania and Tunisia. Information for visitors Two entrances are available to the mass of visitors arriving from Germany and abroad. The Eingang Mitte (or central entrance) is close to the underground station and from here visitors can embark on their circuit in Hall 1 or Hall 10. From the Eingang Ost (east entrance) it is possible to set off to the left via Hall 4A or to the right via 7A. Taxi ranks are located at both entrances and a shuttle bus also runs between them. Useful show planning tips can be found on the Interzoo website along with an exhibitor database, in which visitors can search for companies by company name, keyword or product group. The latest new feature offered by Interzoo is the provision of show information, such as tips on how to get there and where to stay, the exhibitor search facility and floor plan, in adapted form for all mobile phones at m.interzoo.com. No program has to be downloaded. If smartphone users inadvertently enter the general Internet address for Interzoo or are directed to it via a link, a browser switch recognises that a mobile phone is being used and automatically redirects the user to the new mobile website. In the entrance areas at NCC Mitte outside Hall 10 and at Eingang Ost outside Hall 4A, trade magazines from all over the world are displayed. The range extends from trade journals for the pet supplies and garden trade, on keeping small animals and veterinary medicine to pet magazines and customer magazines. The business lounge between Halls 4/5 offers an opportunity to get on with work in peace away from the hustle and bustle of the fair, or to relax after the journey.
