The concept of Swissness conveys typical Swiss attributes to the customer, much in the same way that "Italianità" describes Italian cuisine and Italian lifestyle values and "Deutsche Wertarbeit" is a byword all over the world for top-class German technology. More than that, however, Swissness signifies the totality of a product or service.It's over ten years since Dominik Stohler in Arboldswil embarked on his efforts to produce high-quality dog treats entirely from Swiss raw materials. The response received from dog owners and their pets was so promising right from the outset that in 2000 Delipet AG was established in Hölstein on the basis of these efforts. A production plant had to be constructed to be able to satisfy the rapidly growing demand for these top-quality treats in the Swiss market. The rest is history. Following further refinements, the "DeliBest" label was born and the range expanded continuously. The company manufactures its products exclusively in conformity with Swiss production standards at its Swiss headquarters in Hölstein. Ecology also plays a significant role in the company's strategy, and it has invested and is still investing in ultra-modern systems, especially where emissions and energy saving are concerned.Swissness a key export factorChocolate, watches and cheese are the most quoted examples of Swiss quality products. The familiar logo with the Swiss cross, a feature of the national flag, communicates the quality value. This is the case also in the pet sector: products that initially only found popularity in Switzerland were soon being exported abroad successfully. The idea of manufacturing Swiss specialities with added benefits for the pet market was received very positively by customers and their dogs.The particular challenge here consisted in communicating the higher quality rating, convincing customers about a new product and inspiring them with it. The success of this speciality product is undoubtedly based also on a positive attitude of consumers that is directly connected to a perception of "Swiss quality", and this sends a promising signal.A perfect product quality is naturally a basic prerequisite here.
