Following the opening of the new Fressnapf store after its move to the Avry Centre shopping centre a few weeks ago, Fressnapf Switzerland opened its 78th store in Switzerland shortly before Christmas: on 23 December, it opened its doors in the Freizeitland leisure centre in Sälipark. Before the pet supply chain moved in, the ground floor was home to a Migros Do it + Garden, Melectronics and SportX. Following CHF 8 million worth of civil engineering work by Giroud Olma AG, which took ten months to complete, the building now also houses the discounters Lidl and Action. The Fressnapf branch occupies the space formerly used by Migros' plant department.
Louis Giroud-Strasse now offers a full range of pet supplies as well as pet weighing, pet insurance, engraving and a partnership with an animal shelter.
