NürnbergMesse Brasil staged the 9th edition of Pet South America at Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo. The event hosted around 20 000 visitors from many countries. There were 200 brands on display showing innovations and trends in animal health, food, beauty and accessories. Ligia Amorim, the general director of NürnbergMesse Brasil, highlights the importance of the event to the segment. “Our goal is to bring the most expressive companies from the sector together, strengthen relationships and provide an environment where new business can be created. We are happy with this edition, because we met professionals who are interested in getting an edge in the sector with eco-friendly innovations and trends and technological innovations,” she commented. During the fair, visitors could check out many new releases, such as the cosmetics line with Winetherapy from Emporio Pet, a Swarovski collar from Mestre Pet, a microchip for animal identification from Provet, a cupuaçu brush and a tropical bath from Pet Society, recyclable diapers and bags for transportation from Dog’s Care, as well as many activities such as the 2nd edition of the Groom Brasil grooming contest. The lectures, which are the result of the partnership between the São Paulo Veterinary Medicine Society (SPMV) and the National Association of Small Animal Clinical Veterinarians (Anclivepa) attracted around 1 600 professionals from the sector. Both organisations recognise the growth of Pet South America as a business platform and a meeting place for the veterinary segment across South America.
