The company says that the device is very light and operates automatically, featuring clips at both ends that continuously measure the tension between the collar or harness and the leash. Once the dog reaches a certain pulling force, the “Dog-e-walk” emits an ultrasonic tone that is only audible to the dog and deters it from pulling constantly. The harder the dog pulls, the louder the signal. The ultrasonic tone can only be heard by the dog whose harness carries the transmitter; other dogs do not hear it, according to the company.
