Trend show in BirminghamAnyone interested in greater involvement in the UK market would do well to travel to Birmingham between 16 and 18 September for Glee, the UK’s leading annual trade show for the garden, pet and leisure sector. This well-organised fair attracts over 25 000 domestic and foreign visitors annually to the Birmingham NEC to catch up on the latest trends in their sphere. More than 1 500 suppliers, including 300 companies from the pet supplies market, present their products and services in Birmingham. Hall reorganisation means that pet products will be presented in Halls 6-8 (previously Hall 4) for the first time. A special area is set aside where visitors have the opportunity to choose the best new products at the show from a selection of around 350 product innovations. Free trade seminars, a dog fashion show on the Monday and exclusive special offers complement the main event. And a free garden centre tour is offered to visitors from abroad on the Monday of the show. www.gleebirmingham.com.

The fair will be located for the first time in pavilion 8 of the exhibition centre and will occupy 31 000 m² of floor space. Running in parallel on 22 and 23 September is the Pets Festival. The show expects to host 120 direct exhibitors, representing up to 450 pet care and pet food brands. As is traditional, Sizoo will host technical sessions for different types of professionals: a session for veterinarians on dermatology, which is the reason for approximately 60 per cent of visits received by veterinary clinics; a session for the specialist retail trade and, lastly, a session for breeders focusing on reproduction.www.sizoo.com
