Fritz, a former police dog, had developed a terrible habit of chewing rocks, which damaged Fritz's teeth and frustrated his concerned owner, Joe Markham. One afternoon while working on his Volkswagen van, Joe Markham noticed Fritz dining on rocks once again. This had already worn his teeth down considerably. That day Joe Markham committed himself to finding a cure. The quest included trying all the toys available in pet shops, which were promptly chewed up by the dog. Joe then tried to interest him in a radiator hose and a motorcycle tyre, with no success. Finally, one day Fritz found a Volkswagen bus suspension part under the workbench and dropped it on Joe's foot. Joe promptly disassembled the suspension bracket and tossed the rubber part to Fritz. Right away, Fritz ran after the wildly bouncing part and began to chew it. "Kong" was born! While Fritz discovered the "Kong", it was Joe Markham who realized the potential of this odd-looking toy. Joe refined the toy's design and developed a super-strong rubber formula. After years of strenuous testing, production began in 1976. Since then, "Kong" research and development has continued at a brisk pace. The Kong Company now sells a product line with over 300 items and is still growing and improving. The "Classic Kong" makes a fantastic fetch and play toy for dogs. Its shape and super bouncy rubber compound stimulates the dog's natural chase and chew instincts. It's enjoyed by millions of dogs and praised by owners for its unsurpassed quality and durability. The world's top trainers and behaviourists have recommended the "Classic Kong" toy for thirty years now. The toy is a training tool addressing numerous behavioural challenges, which include destructive chewing, separation anxiety, assistance in crate training, and alleviation of general boredom.Another feature adding to the effectiveness of the "Kong" toy is its hollow centre. The centre can be stuffed with a variety of treats. A treat-stuffed toy will keep a dog busy and challenged as he works to remove the tasty rewards inside. At the same time, the dog's teeth will be cleaned and gums massaged. Four years ago the company developed a special line of dog treats designed to complement "Kong" toys. The "Kong Stuff'N" line consists of "Kong Stuff'N Pastes", "Kong Stuff'N Snaps" and the new "Kong Puppy Ziggies":"Kong Stuff'N Pastes" are the convenient way to fill a "Kong" toy. These treats come in an aerosol can. Available in four flavours: Liver, Peanut Butter…
