Over 23 500 visitors expected at Zoosphere

This year sees the staging of the 15th Zoosphere, eagerly awaited by all the players in the Russian pet supplies market as the major event for business activity and meeting colleagues, according to the organiser. "During the four days of the exhibition one can analyse all the achievements and technological developments of the pet business in Russia," says Olga Novozhenova, director of the Zoosphere exhibition. The fair attracts professionals engaged in the pet products market along with private consumers who simply like pets. Zoosphere 2006 will be held from 29 November to 3 December.At last year's show, 162 companies from 15 Russian regions and from Italy, Brazil, Belgium and Taiwan exhibited their goods and services. Different seminars and forums were held during the exhibition, covering the topics of "Current veterinary problems in small animals", "Aquatics without borders", "Pet supply business problems" etc. The total exhibition area occupied was 8 000 m². More than 23 500 visitors came from 13 countries, including 3 500 professionals. "It's an interesting fact that the number of professional visitors from regional cities is increasing every year," Olga Novozhenova continues. "The most current topic for them is aquatics and new brands in the pet market." This year the most important Russian pet product companies will again attend Zoosphere, most of them coming from Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Foreign companies registering for the show include the Czech company Cat-Gato, Flamingo from Belgium, the Estonian company Ekowas, the Dutch company Rocam and Schulze Heimtierbedarf of Germany.New services and competitionsOne new complimentary service to be offered to exhibitors this year is the opportunity to publish information on new products, services, advertising campaigns and lotteries during Zoosphere 2006 on the website www.zoosphere.lenexpo.ru. This information will be sent to subscribers. In cooperation with Zoospravka, the fair organisers have also announced a new competition: at the www.zoospravka.ru/ gallery/index.php website, exhibitors can upload pictures in one of the competition categories "Accessories for cats, dogs, birds or rodents", "Aquadesign" (aquariums up to 100 l, aquariums of over 100 l, marine aquariums of over 100 l, aquarium interiors) and "Terradesign" (terrariums up to 50 l, terrariums of over 50 l, terrarium interiors). The winners in each of the eleven categories will then be able to display their "winning product" in a 6 m2…
