Dino-Sport active in the UK The German company Dino-Sport has found a new distribution partner for agil-ity equipment in the UK. The "Pro-Line" and "Fungility" series will soon be distributed in the UK via the "Adams Agility" company, with attention being focused on aluminium agility equipment with a tartan covering. Dino-Sport has been operating throughout Europe since 2002 as a manufacturer of agility equipment and obedience and flyball accessories. It is the inventor of the "Fungility" range. Farmer's Pet moving from Zug to Cham Farmer's Pet AG, Swiss general importer of the American food brand "ProNature", is moving from Zug to Cham. The new address is Gewerbestraße 8, CH-6330 Cham. The telephone (+41/41/7263070) and fax (+41/41/7263077) numbers remain the same. New 8 100 m² store in the Czech Republic Baumax has opened a new DIY store with a sales area of 8 100 m² in Tabor, bringing the number of outlets it operates in the Czech Republic to 24. As in Austria, Baumax is backing its newly developed "Four Worlds" concept in the Czech Republic too. Another new store is set to open there in November 2005 when the new branch in Znojmo, with a floor area of approx. 7 000 m², is completed. An existing store in Hradec Kralove is also being converted to the "Four Worlds" design. Changes at Wyevale The UK garden centre chain Wyevale, the market leader with 114 stores at present, has announced a package of measures aimed at countering the poor business trend. Sales increased during the first six months by 0.4 per cent to £ 108.6 mio (€ 157.11 mio), with a like-for-like increase of 0.7 per cent. The measures announced include the sale of 28 smaller garden centres. It is also intended to concentrate primarily on large-format stores in future in line with customer demand, with existing stores being renovated and enlarged. Chairman David Williams, who took over the post in March, appears confident: "The evaluation confirms that we have substantial opportunities to transform Wyevale's retail performance." The previous Chief Executive Bob Hewitt is standing down after 16 years at Wyevale. No successor has yet been appointed. Anniversary celebrations at "Wunderland Kalkar" theme park Gimborn celebrated its 150th anniversary in a fitting manner with a day of events at the "Wunderland Kalkar" theme park.
