Hitec aquarium The French company Rena presents “Aqualife Corner”, a corner aquarium with a base cabinet, in light birch with a curved front pane. The tank holds 290 litres and is supplied complete with an “xP3” external filter, a 300W heater and an 84W lighting unit. Benefiting from the latest research and development advances, the new aquarium has a stainless anodised aluminium extrusion that resists seawater and scratches, a cover made from “Dibon”, a highly reflective material that will not lose its shape, a melamine-finished chip-board stand and a door and drawer hinges, designed for 30 000 cycles of use. www.rena.fr Powerful external filters The new “Tetratec EX” external filters from German company Tetra come in three different sizes for aquariums ranging in capacity from 60 to 500 litres. Each filter model is supplied complete with filter media, hoses and connections. The filter start button eliminates the unpleasant chore of sucking aquarium water through when commissioning the unit, as the “Easy Start” technology fills the filter with water automatically. All “Tetratec EX” external filters are also extremely easy to maintain thanks to their ingenious design, and are quiet yet powerful.
