“Eating Well and Eating Healthy” – production at the company’s plant in Mishakawa has been governed by this motto to this day. The company pioneered the holistic/whole-health approach to nutrition in the 1980s. Custom supplements included kelp, probiotics, sequestered trace minerals and nutrients, Omega fatty acids, yucca and more. Today, these and other whole-health supplements are added to the quality ingredients in all cat and dog foods. What makes a pet food a super premium and what makes Eagle Pack superior to all others? The brand was the first to introduce an extruded, meat meal-based diet, with no soy. And it made meat meal the first-listed ingredient, not corn or soy. To this highly digestible meat meal-based diet – Eagle Pack believes it is the most highly digestible diet available – the company then added custom supplements. A number of cat food varieties are available, from “Kitten” for young cats to special food for less active pets. The company takes pride in the manufacture of its pet foods. Employees are personally involved in the world of dogs and cats. They show, field trial, and breed. One of its staff is a former AKC Judge. Many proudly include dogs and cats as members of their family. Eagle Pack Pet Foods does not perform any testing on laboratory or caged animals, nor does it have a kennel facility. Food-related palatability trials are performed as in-home trials. “We believe that pet owners are caring for their pets today as if they were their children, and the Eagle Pack family is happy to oblige” a spokesman says. “We make the food ourselves, in our own plant, so quality is personally controlled.” Eagle Pack diets are all-natural and use human-grade ingredients. There is no beef in the food and there are no herbicides used on the grains. The dog food range extends from…
