Natural carbon dioxide
German aquatics company Bioplast, of Erkrath, has brought out the new ”bioCO2 125“ system complete with mini passive reactor. Bioplast states that the system, in which natural carbon dioxide is produced by a process of fermentation, is characterised by a level of productivity not attained hitherto.
The company has come up with a product range here that will enable aquarium hobbyists to create a biotope aquarium easily and successfully. Thanks to the composition of a special nutrient solution, combined with extremely hardy microorganisms, the small ”bioCO2“ room reactor will deliver more than 125 g of carbon dioxide. Bioplast recommends its use in tanks with a capacity of up to 140 l. No polystyrene heat vessel is required either, as the ”bioCO2 125“ system starts to work at an ambient temperature of approx. 18°C. And the mini passive reactor ensures uniform diffusion of the carbon dioxide in the aquarium water.
Premium snack from Spain
The Spanish company Delidog Snacks of Lleida has developed a new premium snack for dogs.  ”Deli Dog“, as the snack is called, consists of 70 per cent fresh meat (chicken or beef) and contains a large amount of rice and cereal. It is thus easily digestible for the dog, according to the manufacturer. ”Deli Dog“ has a high vitamin and mineral content that is intended to provide health and energy. The company is a manufacturer of branded pet foods. Its products include ”Natural Brill“, a dietetic food supplement for horses.
New lines for small dogs
Royal Canin is bringing out a number of new products for small and medium-sized dogs: ”Mini light“ has been developed especially for small, overweight dogs. A low energy content (11 per cent fat) helps to reduce weight, while L-carnitine breaks down fat. ”Mini Yorkshire“ is a global first, according to Royal Canin: the first food ideally tailored to the requirements of the Yorkshire terrier. It contains biotin for a silky, lustrous coat and special croquettes ensure that teeth are cleaned efficiently.
For sensitive medium-sized dogs that are fussy about food, Royal Canin has brought out ”Medium Sensible“, with a combination of ingredients coordinated to exert a positive influence on the intestinal flora. The food is rich in Vitamin E to aid cell regeneration. Essential fatty acids also promote a shiny coat and supple skin.
