The Raccoon Media Group is expanding its portfolio of events in the animal health sector. Together with Edition Media Ltd., the company has agreed to form a joint venture to further develop the UK dog show Edition Dog Live.

The next edition of the event will take place on 17 and 18 October 2026 at the NAEC Stoneleigh near Coventry. Edition Dog Live is regarded as the UK’s largest non-competitive dog fair for consumers. More than 200 exhibitors will be presenting products and services relating to dog health, nutrition, wellbeing, training and responsible dog ownership.

Together with Edition Media, Raccoon aims to further develop, amongst other things, marketing, content, the commercial offering and the visitor experience. The aim is to preserve the established brand and community whilst simultaneously expanding the event’s reach within the UK dog market.

This expansion is driven by the growth of the UK dog market. According to Raccoon, there are now around 15.5 million dogs in the UK. This means that 41 per cent of households own a dog, up from 33 per cent in 2021.

Edition Dog Live complements Raccoon’s existing animal health portfolio, which includes Pats, Beta International and the National Equine Show, amongst others. The company is also working on an ‘Animal Health Ecosystem Week’, which aims to link various trade and consumer events more closely together.

Raccoon has also recently invested in its existing events. According to the company, visitor numbers at Pats rose by 70 per cent within a year. International visitor numbers increased by 169 per cent.

To expand its animal health division, Raccoon has also appointed Tess Drew as Portfolio Director. She has many years’ experience in the events sector for pet owners and has worked on DogFest, The Vet Festival and the SuperDog Awards, amongst others.
