PATS, UK’s leading pet trade show, in 2026 will expand its Grooming Zone and add a programme of sessions aimed specifically at retailers. The trade show for the pet and aquatics sector takes place from 27 to 29 September at the NEC Birmingham, alongside BETA International.
The zone is run in partnership with the British Isles Grooming Association (BIGA), a not-for-profit trade association organised by groomers and an associate member of the Canine and Feline Sector Group (CFSG). Alongside live demonstrations by professional groomers, BIGA will host talks addressing retailers who sell grooming products or operate their own salons.
According to the organisers, the sessions are intended to help retail staff advise customers more confidently. Topics include the differences between coat types, product selection, welfare-led grooming practices and building customer loyalty through expert advice.
