Vafo Group, based in Prague, has acquired the German premium pet food brand Pets Deli, expanding its presence in Germany and adding a direct-to-consumer platform to its European portfolio. Berlin-based Pets Deli sells wet food, dry food, raw feeding products, snacks and supplements for dogs and cats through its own digital platform.

The brand will continue to operate under its own name. According to the companies, the focus will be on accelerating D2C growth, improving customer retention, expanding the product range and drawing on Vafo's manufacturing and sourcing capabilities. ‘Pets Deli fits our group really well: a strong brand, close to consumers, with a clear digital mindset and significant growth potential,’ said Pavel Bouška, chairman of the board of Vafo Group, describing Germany as one of Europe's most important pet food markets.
