Registration is now open for Fi Europe 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for ingredients. The event returns to Messe Frankfurt from 17 to 19 November. With 1,650 exhibitors and around 27,000 visitors expected, it is set to be one of its largest editions to date.

Of particular relevance to the pet industry: the trade fair is significantly expanding its offering in the field of pet nutrition. The ongoing trend towards the humanisation of pets is rapidly driving the market for premium pet food. Pet owners are increasingly demanding products that support health, wellbeing and functional nutrition. Fi Europe 2026 is responding to this development with two key hubs for the industry:

- Expanded Pet Food & Nutrition Hub: Here, suppliers will showcase innovative ingredients, forward-looking recipes and technological solutions specifically for the pet market.

- New Pet Food & Nutrition Forum: This newly created format offers industry experts, manufacturers and decision-makers a platform to discuss the latest trends, challenges and market opportunities. The programme includes expert presentations, interactive experiences and targeted networking opportunities.

In addition to raw materials alone, the trade fair offers deeper insights into overarching ingredient trends that are also having a significant impact on the pet industry. These include plant-based solutions, clean-label concepts and functional ingredients for gut health, cognitive wellbeing and vitality in old age. Guided ‘Innovation Tours’ allow visitors to experience these trends first-hand at the exhibitors’ stands.

The Tech, Services & Equipment section provides the right tools for translating concepts into commercial production. Here, manufacturers will find modern processing technologies, packaging innovations and automation tools to implement new formulations on an industrial scale.

To facilitate networking within the global industry, the trade fair app has been updated. A new “Supplier Pass” enables exhibitors and visitors to view the full list of participants in advance and to coordinate appointments in the Meeting Lounge. Interested companies and trade visitors can register now; reduced early-bird rates are available until 6 September: www.figlobal.com.
