Vafo Group, the Czech-headquartered superpremium pet food manufacturer, is expanding its Polish operations with a new wet food plant near Słupsk. The Group has acquired the premises of a former fish cannery on a 12-hectare site, which it will convert into a modern production facility in an investment of around €14 m.

The plant will specialise in pouches – wet pet food in flexible sachets – with a first-phase annual capacity of up to 100 m units. Operations are due to begin by the end of 2027, creating more than 50 new jobs. The site sits about 10 kilometres from Słupsk and 30 kilometres from Vafo's Carry Pet Food facility, of which it will become part; output will cover both the Group's own brands and private-label products for international partners.
