UK pet retailer Jollyes has opened a new store in Yeovil, on Houndstone Retail Park, as part of an accelerating expansion programme. The chain currently operates around 120 stores and has roughly doubled its store count over the past three years, positioning itself as a challenger brand in the UK pet retail market.

According to the company, Jollyes is targeting more than 160 further locations across England, Wales and Scotland over the next five years, with up to 25 new stores possible in 2026 alone if suitable sites become available. The retailer says it is looking for units of 3,000 to 7,000 sq ft (280 to 650 m²) on retail parks or prominent roadside locations, with particular interest in major conurbations including Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as Greater London. Part of the growth has come through taking over former Poundland sites.
