Deadline for entries for the Best Newcomer 2026 award is approaching

Applications close on Thursday: PET worldwide aims to support young, up-and-coming companies in the pet industry. To provide them with a B2B communication platform, the international trade magazine, published by Dähne Verlag, is once again organising a competition in 2026, for which start-ups have until 18 June to apply.

The editorial team at PET worldwide will select five companies from the applications received. These companies will have the opportunity to showcase themselves and their products on 13 and 14 October at the International Pet Conference to present themselves to a wide audience in five-minute live pitches in Copenhagen. All nominated companies will have excellent networking opportunities at the conference to raise their profile within the pet industry and find new partners from across Europe. The winner will be presented with the PET worldwide Best Newcomer Award on the first day of the conference.

Who chooses the winner? The winner is chosen by the readers of PET worldwide via an online vote and by visitors to the International Pet Conference. The votes cast by PET worldwide readers and conference visitors each account for 50 per cent of the overall score.
