D&D Ingredients, a leading manufacturer and ingredient supplier to the animal feed and pet food industries, announces its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1976 by Doc and Dorothy Miller, the company has grown into a full-service provider serving customers in 45 states and 42 countries.

‘In 2026, D&D Ingredients will celebrate 50 years of innovation, collaboration and commitment to the animal nutrition industry,’ said Kristopher DiTommaso, Managing Director of D&D Ingredients. ‘This milestone recognises everything the D&D team has built together with our partners – and the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to help our customers achieve business success.’

Today, D&D Ingredients employs 160 staff and has more than 500,000 square feet of warehouse space. The company’s service portfolio includes premixing, blending, custom grinding, co-packing, transhipment, thermal heat treatment and distribution, with an ingredient inventory of more than 900 items and its own fleet of lorries, ensuring reliable delivery across the entire customer network. Feed safety and quality management systems are audited by independent certification bodies, and D&D Ingredients employs 12 trained PCQIs on-site.

In 2021, D&D Ingredients joined the Swanson Family of Companies, bringing new investment and fresh momentum whilst preserving the culture and partnerships that have defined the company since its inception, the company explains.

Going forward, D&D Ingredients intends to prioritise further investment in rail capacity, the expansion of storage facilities and warehouse management technology. The company’s mission remains unchanged: to provide high-quality ingredients and first-class production services that animal feed companies can trust.
