The Suziria Group has teamed up with UAnimals, Ukraine’s largest animal welfare organisation, to develop a programme on humane education for schools. The initiative, which has been approved by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science, can now be rolled out nationwide. Entitled ‘Humane Education and Volunteering’, it goes beyond animal welfare and aims to promote empathy, a sense of responsibility and ethical thinking as the foundations for a healthier society – the company reports in a press release.

Whilst the number of pet owners continues to grow worldwide, Ukraine stands out as an example, according to Suziria, of how this trend is intertwined with deeper societal change.
