MiAlgae and Butternut Box, the European market leader in fresh dog food, have formed a partnership unique in the industry to incorporate MiAlgae, an omega-3-rich, fish-free ingredient, into Butternut Box’s vegetarian meal ‘Ready Steady Veggie’.

MiAlgae is a natural microalgae cultivated using upcycled by-products from the Scottish whisky industry, providing the same essential nutrients as wild fish whilst remaining entirely plant-based. Just one tonne contains as much omega-3 fatty acids as 30 tonnes of wild-caught fish.

Butternut Box was founded with a mission to improve the health and wellbeing of dogs through the power of fresh dog food, using whole ingredients that are cooked, unprocessed and served straight from the fridge.
