Kiwoko, a specialist in comprehensive care for various types of pets with over 200 branches in Spain and Portugal, warns of the seasonal increase in external parasites with the onset of spring and emphasises the need for preventive, personalised and professionally supervised deworming. In spring, there is an increased risk of pets being exposed to ticks, fleas, sand flies and mites in both rural and urban areas such as parks, gardens and suburban areas.

The Apex campaign (‘No bites here!’), which runs until May, raises awareness of personalised protection programmes with products such as collars and pipettes that are effective for up to eight months. In addition to deworming at the vet, the available solutions include, for example, a special package that combines an antiparasitic collar and pipettes and offers up to eight months of continuous protection against ticks, fleas, sand flies and mites, according to Kiwoko. This offer allows for longer coverage of the period of highest risk and simplifies care. Kiwoko thus underlines its position as a full-service provider with clinics and grooming salons, which gives independent retailers impetus for their own parasite campaigns.
