Packsize, a provider of automated packaging solutions, has appointed Philipp Venjakob as Vice President European Sales. In this role, he will be responsible for market development and the expansion of customer relationships in Europe and will head up the European sales organisation, the company reports in a press release. Packsize is a provider of packaging automation solutions operating in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The company develops and sells systems that package goods precisely and according to demand, thereby avoiding unnecessary packaging. With 1,000 employees, the company optimises packaging processes along the entire supply chain.

Venjakob has been with Packsize for more than ten years and has held various management positions in sales and operations in Europe. In his new role, he will be responsible for the entire European sales organisation and will also develop market development concepts for the core European markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, the Nordic countries, the United Kingdom, the Iberian Peninsula, France and Italy, as well as coordinating customer support. In recent years, Venjakob has already played a central role in building up Packsize's European business. Venjakob was also instrumental in the regional merger following the acquisition of Dutch automated packaging equipment supplier Sparck Technologies.

Europe remains a focus for Packsize, Venjakob said. ‘I will strengthen our presence, provide comprehensive support to our customers and advance our goal of delivering smart packaging for a healthy planet.’ Venjakob holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the Academy in Melle and an MBA in entrepreneurship from Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Venjakob's appointment and the relocation of the European headquarters to Amsterdam underscore Packsize's growth strategy in Europe. Venjakob will take up his new position on 1 January.
