‛The 2025 Pet Conference in Leipzig once again offered numerous opportunities to discuss ideas and join in-depth expert talks within the German pet industry’, states Katharina Miklauz, Founder & Creative Director of the PetCo Group. With her presentation ‘Between Premium & Purpose – How modern pet food builds brand loyalty’, she also made a contribution to the versatile programme, underlining her company’s deep conviction that premium pet food should not only be convincing in terms of quality, but also in terms of purpose and emotion.
From 22 to 23 October, around 200 guests gathered in Leipzig for the 2025 Pet Conference. They attended to high-profile presentations, took part in expert discussions and had the opportunity to exchange ideas as well as network.
Next to Miklauz, Speakers at the two-day event included retail experts Matthias Pohl (mp group), Leo Middelhoff (Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo), Felix Vos (mera), Marcel Bersch (Zoo Royal) and Benedikt Schaumann (Nestlé Purina). Oliver Mengedoht, editor-in-chief of pet and PET worldwide, held an on-stage discussion with Gordon Bonnet, chairman of the German Pet Trade and Industry Association ZZF. A further highlight of the Pet Conference was the award ceremony for the pet Best Newcomer Award and the pet Personality of the Year at a gala.
