Galaxus Germany opens new location

After 13 months of construction and two years of planning, the time has come: Galaxus Germany is opening the first of two logistics centres at its Neuenburg am Rhein site. Around 50 employees will be on site to ensure a smooth start. In the medium term, around 1,200 employees will serve Galaxus customers in Switzerland and the EU from both warehouses.

The large goods warehouse is located in Neuenburg's industrial park on the eastern side of Hans-Buck-Straße. It is now gradually being filled with washing machines, sofas, refrigerators, garden furniture and more. Covering 30,000 square metres of warehouse and office space, a new logistics hub is being created directly on the A5 motorway in the border triangle of Germany, Switzerland and France. The second warehouse is being built just a stone's throw away, west of Hans-Buck-Straße, on an area of 60,000 square metres. By 2030, Galaxus plans to employ 1,200 logistics specialists, technical and IT staff, HR, project management and supply chain management personnel in Neuenburg.

The second part is also already so far advanced in construction that the Galaxus teams will be able to enter this warehouse for the first time at the end of 2025. The year 2026 will then be needed to install the technical equipment. Galaxus will start actual operations with its own staff around mid-2027.
