Flamingo Pet Products has presented its latest sustainability report.According to the company, it shows measurable progress in seven key areas, from recyclable packaging to sustainable partnerships.
A key achievement in 2024, was reducing plastic packaging by 9,370 kg. This is in addition to 820 kg of compostable poo bags being returned to nature, and 468,188 kWh of renewable energy being produced via 5,475 solar panels.
These milestones reflect Flamingo's ongoing investment in environmentally friendly logistics, energy-efficient infrastructure, and responsible manufacturing.
The report also covers the switch to FSC-certified products and recyclable packaging. It also covers the integration of natural, recycled or renewable materials, including compostable poo bags, cushions made from recycled fibres, dog bowls, cat litter trays and much more.
It also covers employee-focused policies, such as safe working environments, a buddy onboarding programme and inclusion initiatives.
It also describes collaboration with sustainable alliances such as the Pet Sustainability Coalition, BEPEFA and amfori.
