Mühldorfer acquires Spanish Greenfarm Group

Mühldorfer Nutrition Holding has taken the first step towards internationalisation by acquiring 100% of the Spanish animal nutrition and healthcare group Greenfarm in a share deal. The Mühldorf am Inn-based company announced this in a press release.

This acquisition brings three companies to Mühldorfer: Grupo Omega de Nutrición Animal, a specialist in vitamin and mineral premixes for professional livestock and pets, and Provesa SL, a sales and logistics expert based in Murcia.

Through Provesa, Mühldorfer now has access to a leading distribution and logistics company specialising in animal health and hygiene on the Iberian Peninsula. Thanks to decades of building customer contacts, the Mühldorfer product range will gradually be introduced to the rapidly growing Spanish market.

Grupo Omega complements the range of services offered by Mühldorfer Nutrition Holding perfectly, as part of its buy-build-technologise strategy. Omega's production facilities feature highly automated systems that ensure the entire production process is carried out with maximum precision in terms of ingredient dosing.

The acquisition of the Greenfarm Group, which has enjoyed success in its home markets and internationally for decades, represents "a further step towards becoming a fully integrated animal nutrition group and innovation leader in the field of healthcare for pets and farm animals" for Mühldorfer.
