PetHaus, a specialist pet supplies retailer and service provider in the United Arab Emirates, has joined The Petshop family. The UAE's largest pet supplies retailer has confirmed the acquisition and reports: As we continue to expand across the country, this was a fitting strategic step in the right direction.

With the backing of Aliph Capital, a UAE-based private equity firm which invested in The Petshop Group in 2022, PetHaus is working to consolidate the UAE's fragmented pet care market and expand its business throughout the Middle East.

Founded in 2011, The Petshop has built a strong omnichannel presence comprising nine brick-and-mortar stores, a comprehensive e-commerce platform covering all emirates and a wide range of services, including grooming, relocation and aquatics.

As a separate brand within the group's portfolio, PetHaus joins Petsville (pet boarding and day care), Lucky Vet (veterinary services) and PetHQ (B2B distribution). Originally launched in 2020 as an e-commerce platform, PetHaus subsequently expanded into brick-and-mortar retail. In addition to retail, PetHaus also offers cat boarding, complementing The Petshop Group's existing range of services.
