Kölle Zoo is expanding its business model and introducing a franchise concept for the first time. The company announced this in a press release today, July 22. In fall 2025, the specialty retail chain will open a store covering around 1,200 square meters in Belgium, marking its first foray into the international market.

The franchise partner is experienced retail entrepreneur Sebastian Haep, who is responsible for a diverse range of businesses in Belgium and Luxembourg. His activities range from traditional grocery stores and innovative 24/7 smart stores to event catering and restaurants, according to Kölle Zoo. He also already operates a pet store.

With the new franchise concept, Kölle Zoo is pursuing the goal of achieving further growth through strong regional partnerships and expanding its presence outside Germany. The market entry in Belgium represents a significant milestone in this regard.
