With 26 379 visitors over three days, Interpets Osaka – A Fair for a Better Life with Pets – celebrated its largest and most dynamic edition to date, recording an impressive 41 per cent visitor increase compared to the previous edition. Held from 13 to 15 June at Intex Osaka Halls 1 to 3, the fair brought together a record-high 318 exhibitors from nine countries and regions, reports the organiser Messe Frankfurt Japan.
Exhibits spanned a wide range of categories, including pet food and treats, fashion, healthcare, and the debut of a new Pet-Tech-zone, showcasing cutting-edge digital and smart solutions for pet care. A central theme this year was disaster preparedness, conveyed under the message “Pets are irreplaceable members of the family.”
The fair also welcomed cat lovers with a community-driven feature titled InterCats. Visitors could post heartfelt messages to their felines on a message board and join a giveaway featuring generous prizes from brand sponsors.
In total, Interpets Osaka 2025 featured 26 seminars and workshops. These included a keynote speech by former professional baseball player Mr Tomoya Satozaki, as well as talks by pet industry experts and a special presentation by the Osaka Veterinary Medical Association highlighting real-life pet evacuation strategies.
The next edition of Interpets Osaka will take place from 19 to 21 June 2026.
