Pet Fair Asia returns with more space and new focus

Pet Fair Asia 2025, one of the largest pet industry exhibitions in Asia-Pacific, returns to Shanghai from August 20–24 for its 27th edition and is anticipating record-breaking attendance and participation. According to a press release, the event will host more than 2 500 exhibitors across 310 000 m², showcasing cutting-edge innovations in pet care, products, and services.

Two key growth drivers this year are Pet Fair Asia Supply – the supply chain-focused co-located show, which expands by 30 per cent to include smart factory and warehousing tech – and the booming small pet sector. The latter, now making up 20 per cent of China’s pet market, will feature a dedicated 15 000 m² hall for birds, fish, reptiles, and other small animals. The 2024 edition saw more than 124 000 attendees from 91 countries, with international participation growing by 41.8 per cent year on year. Early registration data for 2025 signals further growth, especially from East and Southeast Asia, Europe, and South America – bolstered by China’s new visa-free policy for five Latin American nations.

A highlight of the 2025 edition is the Pet Fair Asia Buyer Club, offering strategic matchmaking, complimentary hotel stays, and exclusive events to select buyers. Applications for the Buyer Club close on June 30 and can be submitted here.
