Petquip opens entries

UK trade association Petquip has announced the list of categories for the 2025 Petquip Awards, which includes 16 awards in the areas of products, retail, suppliers, marketing, sustainability and individual achievement. “We are delighted to be launching the Petquip Awards 2025 at an exciting new venue which will allow us to make the evening even more glamorous and entertaining, ensuring that it is not only a prestigious celebration but also a place where the pet industry can celebrate”, said organiser Susan Fairley. “As we are keen to limit the number of awards, we have only introduced one new category, Online Retailer of the Year”, she added.

Marketing communications consultancy Leopard is once again the main sponsor of the awards, along with Law Print and Packaging, Cips, Interzoo, Petface, Copdock Mill, Pedigree Wholesale, Noble Futures, Zoomark, PBW News and PPM. The awards are organised in association with Pats, which also sponsors the International Retailer Award. Petquip is putting together a panel of experts for the judging day in early August, which will also take place at a new venue, the Birmingham Dogs' Home near Solihull. All product samples submitted for judging will then be donated directly to the shelter.

The Petquip Awards will take place on 29 September at the National Conference Centre, just a few minutes' drive from the NEC.
