Every day, animal welfare activists and volunteers work hard to improve the lives of animals, and Fressnapf Switzerland is highlighting their special achievements. “It is very impressive what dedicated people do for animals in need all over Switzerland. We want to honour and support these heroes – they are great role models for us all“, explains Hermann Aigner, managing director of Fressnapf Switzerland.
With the Tierisch engagiert Initiative, Fressnapf Switzerland is bundling its various charitable activities and honouring special projects and animal heroes with the Tierisch engagiert Award for the third time this year. "Together with the recipients of the Tierisch engagiert Award, we want to raise awareness of the fact that animals are valuable companions for people", emphasised Aigner. With the Golden Fressnapf Award, his company wants to honour special commitment to animal welfare and is supporting the initiative with prize money of 5 000 Swiss francs for six animal welfare projects.
Anyone who makes the world a better place through their commitment to animals can take part. Applications can be submitted until 31 May at Fressnapf.ch/goldenerfressnapf2025. In June, an expert jury will review all the projects submitted and the winners will be notified.
